Xcode’s play button.
Without Xcode.
Runway lists every Xcode project on your Mac. Press play and it builds, installs and launches the app, with the logs ready for your agent.

Agents get 46 tools: build, run, test, screenshots, UI automation, logs, debugger, project settings, localization and Apple docs. Their work shows up live in Runway.
Runway’s real windows, rebuilt for this page. Sample projects shown.
Everything between “done” and running.
Your agent wrote the code. Runway gets it onto a screen and tells you what broke.
Every project, found
Spotlight finds every Xcode project and workspace on your Mac. Type to filter, ↑↓ to choose, Return to build and run.
Worktrees included
Projects your agents checked out in git worktrees get a branch badge. Pick which checkout to run.
Apps started anywhere
Debug builds launched from Xcode, Finder or your agent's own xcodebuild show up as running, with their Logger output. Stop them, or press play to take over, like ⌘R in Xcode.
Simulator, iPhone or this Mac
Choose where iOS apps run: a simulator or a plugged-in iPhone. Mac apps run right here.
Issues, build log, console
One window per project, like Xcode's issue navigator, build report and debug console in one place. Double-click an issue to open Xcode at that line.
Test results
⌘U runs the scheme's tests. Passed, failed and skipped tests show up as they finish, with each failure's message and the result bundle one click away.
Copy for Agent
One click copies what your agent needs: the errors if the build failed, otherwise the log or console you're looking at. The menu adds warnings, the full build log and the log file's path.
Right-click for the rest
Give a project its own scheme, destination or worktree. Open it in Xcode, Terminal or Finder, copy its path, or hide it from the list.
Shortcuts and links
⌘R, ⌘B, ⌘U and ⌘. work like in Xcode, ⌘L shows the logs and ⌘O opens Xcode. Scripts can build, test and stop with runway:// links.
Open, pick, play.
Xcode stays closed.
Runway reads your projects and schemes as they are. There’s nothing to set up.

Agents write Swift all day but can’t click Run in Xcode. Runway gives them 46 tools to build, run, test, look at the screen, tap through the app and read the console.
Their builds show up live in Runway, marked with , and you can stop them there.

Claude Desktop

46 MCP tools
Covers what Xcode’s own MCP server offers, without Xcode having to be open.
Build, launch and stop the app, then read its issues, build log and console.
Find every project, then pick the scheme and where the app runs.
Read and change build settings, per-file compiler flags, entitlements and Info.plist keys.
Add, move and remove files in the Xcode project.
Start a SwiftUI project, or add an app, framework or test target, ready to build and run.
Run all tests or a few, and switch test plans. Failures come back with message and file:line.
Attach LLDB to the running app for backtraces and expressions, and read its crash reports.
See the simulator screen and its UI tree, tap and type through the app, open deep links, switch dark mode.
Add a language and fill in String Catalogs, and look things up in Apple's documentation.
